Jamie Kompon is in his fourth season as the Associate Coach for the Winnipeg Jets.

Coach Kompon has extensive experience as an NHL Assistant Coach including six seasons with the Los Angeles Kings from 2006-12 and two seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks from 2012-14. Kompon won the Stanley Cup in consecutive seasons, in 2012 with Los Angeles and 2013 with Chicago. Prior to his time in Los Angeles, which included time as the Kings’ Director of Amateur Development from 2006-08, Kompon spent nine seasons with the St. Louis Blues from 1997-2006 in various roles which included: assistant coach, video coach and strength and conditioning coach.

Kompon was an Assistant Coach with the Baltimore Bandits of the American Hockey League for the 1996-97 season, and in 1994-95 he was named Co-Head Coach at McGill University in Montreal after spending three seasons there as an Assistant Coach. Kompon played four seasons as a defenceman at McGill where he also earned a degree in education. He played professionally in the ECHL and in Germany.
