Mark Recchi is heading into his second season as an Assistant Coach of the New Jersey Devils. Recchi joined the Devils in 2020 after spending six seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, serving the first three seasons as a development coach before becoming an Assistant Coach on Mike Sullivan’s staff in 2017.

Throughout his illustrious 22-year professional playing career as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Montréal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Boston Bruins, Recchi played in 1,652 career games scoring a total of 1,533 points. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017 and was a member of three Stanley Cup® Championship teams in 1991, 2006 and 2011.

On the international stage, Recchi won a U20 World Junior Championship gold medal in 1988, a World Championship gold medal in 1997, and was a member of Team Canada’s 1998 Olympic team in Nagano.
