Inside of the Kitchener, Ont., home, Don McKee gets ready for puck drop. Not given to shouting and cheering — that’s left to the rest of his family — the hockey lifer seeks out a quiet room to monitor the postseason action between the Calgary Flames and Dallas Stars.
This way, in peace, McKee can properly assess the proceedings.
But he’s not focused on the production of the big names or the workload of the goaltenders — or even the outcome of the contest.
