Sometimes in this business, a simple game of connect the dots is a great way to fuel speculation.

And given how the last round of NHL expansion went, with the Vegas Golden Knights reaching the Stanley Cup final during their inaugural campaign, it’s only natural to expect Seattle is going to want to hit the ground running when they break into the league in 2021-22.

Since respected hockey man Ron Francis was named general manager and other members of the hockey operations staff have been revealed, it’s only natural to wonder who the first head coach of the Seattle franchise is going to be.

Can they hit a home run, like the Golden Knights did by hiring Gerard Gallant as their first bench boss?
