PEMBROKE, ONT. — Geoff Patterson has done just about everything for the Pembroke Lumber Kings at one point or another.

Public address announcer. Trainer. Assistant general manager. Director of communications. Community relations representative. Assistant coach. Voice of the Lumber Kings on 104.9 My FM.

To commemorate his 25th anniversary with the team in the fall of 2019, the Lumber Kings rolled out the red carpet and honoured him in a pre-game ceremony. A ceremonial puck was dropped. Patterson got to spend an evening in the “Hall of Fame” suite with his family. And, beamed in from an NHL dressing room, was a Pembroke VIP: Sheldon Keefe.
