When Elliotte Friedman suggested Bruce Boudreau’s name as a potential addition to the Maple Leafs coaching staff in his latest column, it felt like mostly an off-the-cuff idea.
Boudreau? An assistant? In Toronto?
That’s odd.
Still, it was worth a little due diligence. So I asked around the past few days if there was anything to it. And it turns out that this has progressed beyond just the thought-bubble stage.
