Attempting to figure out how the Seattle Kraken are going to look under Dave Hakstol this season is one of the questions many have sought to answer going into the franchise’s first ever training camp.

So who better to ask than, well, Hakstol himself?

Let’s start with a statement Hakstol used numerous times over the course of a 30-minute interview: He can only say so much. Coaches, regardless of sport, are secretive by nature. Especially when it comes to their systems and the level of detail they invest when it comes to winning games. In Hakstol’s case, it starts with looking at how his teams played when he was in charge of the Philadelphia Flyers for three-plus seasons. Yet it also comes with the understanding Hakstol has made some adjustments since then considering everything he learned while he was a Toronto Maple Leafs assistant who worked under both Mike Babcock and Sheldon Keefe.

The following is a composite examination of Hakstol’s three full seasons with the Flyers coupled with what could potentially be expected in his first campaign with the Kraken.
