The NHL Coaches’ Association is committed to supporting the development of hockey coaches at all levels of the game around the world. As part of our commitment to this goal, we created the NHLCA Mentorship Program thanks to the support of our NHL coaches.
After a successful pilot in February 2020, the Mentorship Program was rolled out on March 20, 2020 – six months ahead of schedule – in response to the impact of COVID-19. Coaches from across North America and globally were invited to participate in the program, to which access was free. Over the course of 10 weeks we delivered over 20 online webinars from our NHL coaches. Click here to read the news release.
The third season of the NHLCA Mentorship Program runs from October 2021 through April 2022. Topics range from leadership, communication, and career advancement strategies to advice about skills development, implementing systems, and player development.
NEW FORMAT FOR THE 2021-2022 SEASON:
Presentations are pre-recorded and posted a week in advance. Then, we will host a LIVE Q&A with the presenter where we ask all of your questions. This allows you time to watch (and re-watch!) the presentation beforehand and prepare your questions. You can either submit your questions in advance, or join live for the Q&A and ask them then.
What you need to know about the 2021-2022 season of the NHLCA Mentorship Program:
