Mentorship Program

The NHL Coaches’ Association is committed to supporting the development of hockey coaches at all levels of the game around the world. As part of our commitment to this goal, we created the NHLCA Mentorship Program thanks to the support of our NHL coaches.

After a successful pilot in February 2020, the Mentorship Program was rolled out on March 20, 2020 – six months ahead of schedule – in response to the impact of COVID-19. Coaches from across North America and globally were invited to participate in the program, to which access was free. Over the course of 10 weeks we delivered over 20 online webinars from our NHL coaches. Click here to read the news release.

The fourth season of the NHLCA Mentorship Program runs from October 2022 through April 2023. Topics range from leadership, communication, and career advancement strategies to advice about skills development, implementing systems, and player development.

The program is FREE to anyone – coach, player, parent, and fan – at any level of the sport, across the globe, who wants to continue to learn.
