The Pittsburgh Penguins’ head coach has seen a lot through his 12 seasons as a pro player and 14 more on coaching staffs in the AHL and NHL.

For the past five he’s led a team with two of the greatest players in league history, winning two Stanley Cups and working with a roster regularly in flux due to injuries and personnel changes.
