Each year, two things signal Blues training camp will be starting soon: The last of the players are signed, and the roster/practice schedule are announced.
Both of those happened Thursday.
Vince Dunn, a restricted free-agent defenseman, agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $1.875 million. That’s well below the market value for a 24-year old with 224 games in the league and a Stanley Cup, but Dunn didn’t have much leverage this offseason because he didn’t hold arbitration rights. He’ll have arb rights next summer, so expect a hungry blueliner this season.
