The findings in the Jenner & Block report are deeply disturbing. There is no room in the NHL, or anywhere in the world, for abusive behaviour of any kind whatsoever. The League and Clubs should be a safe place for everyone, and it’s clear with this report that didn’t happen here.

Today, following a meeting with Commissioner Bettman, Joel Quenneville made the decision to resign his position with the Florida Panthers and as an Association we understand and respect the decision that has been taken.

This decision is only one step in a long journey we must take together – one that must include learning from the incredibly painful experiences of Kyle Beach. Kyle showed remarkable bravery in coming forward and we believe that meaningful change will come from him doing so. The NHLCA is committed to supporting these efforts and to working closely with the NHL and the NHLPA to make our League one in which everyone feels safe, respected, and included.
